Unknown perpetrators
committed a firebomb attack against a Sinti clan in the Upper Palatinate (Bavaria). The perpetrators threw three Molotov cocktails
towards the caravan settlement of this family who come originally from Cologne but missed the wagons by about 25 yards. The
14 adults and 4 children were not wounded, a police spokesperson said. The detectives do not discount a racist motive out
in that rightwing extremists may have committed this act. According to witness reports three to four people were seen driving
around 2300hrs with a blue VW-Golf near the caravans. Two men aged approximately 25 years apparently got out of the car and
threw those three firebombs from a distance of about 50 yards away towards the parked wagons. The police hope that thru reports
from members of the public about the car the will be able to catch the perpetrators.
